Andre Russell is a Jamaican cricket and plays international cricket for Windies. He is an all-rounder and regarded as a biggest hitter of cricket ball. On 21 September 2013, in a match against India A he became the first bowler in T20 to take 4 wickets in 4 successive deliveries taking the wickets of Kedar Jadhav, Yuvraj Singh, Naman Ojha and Yusuf Pathan.
ODI career
Russell made One Day International (ODI) debut against Ireland during the 2011 ICC World Cup at PCA IS Bindra Stadium on March 11, 2019. In 52 ODI matches, he amassed 998 runs at an average of 28.51 and a strike rate of 130.46. His highest individual score in ODIs is 92 which he scored against India. He has 4 fifties by his name and hit 91 fours and 54 sixes. In bowling department, he took 65 wickets at an average of 32.74 and economy rate of 5.87.
IPL career
Andre Russell was bought by Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) during 2012 IPL auction and later picked by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2014 IPL auction. He is an integral part of KKR from then onwards and known for taking wickets in death overs while his hitting skills helped KKR win matches in crunch situations. In 64 matches, he has scored 1400 runs at an average of 33.33 with a strike rate of 186.41 and his highest individual score in IPL is 88 runs. In bowling department, he has 55 wickets by his name at an average of 27.96 and economy rate of 8.88.
T20I career
Andre Russell made T20 International debut against Pakistan at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium on April 21, 2011. In the 39 innings of 47 matches, he has scored 465 runs at an average of 17.88 with a strike rate of 141.34 and his individual score is 47 runs. In bowling department, he took 25 wickets with an economy rate of 9.16.
Test career
He made his Test debut against Sri Lanka at Galle International Stadium on November 15, 2010. In the only test match, he has 2 runs and one wicket by his name.
