Devendra Fadnavis was the chief minister of Maharashtra, a post he held from 2014 till 2019. At the age of 44, Fadnavis became Maharashtra's second youngest chief minister. He represents the Nagpur South West constituency in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
Fadnavis started out at an RSS Shakha. He was an active member of the ABVP during the late '80s. At the age of 21, Fadnavis became the youngest Mayor of Nagpur where he worked for two consecutive terms from 1992 to 1997. He was appointed president of the BJP's Maharashtra unit by the then BJP president Rajnath Singh.
