28% automotive firms started new business based on digital tech: Report

Digital transformation in the automotive industry is complex, with fewer than 1/3 of automotive firms having the digital capabilities required for  transformation, according to Capgemini Research Institute’s Global Digital Mastery Research Series: Automotive Report. Of the automotive firms surveyed, only 28 per cent have launched a new business based on digital technologies. Meanwhile, only 19 per cent believe their digital platforms allow them to reach customers who would not be reached through traditional approaches. Some highlights:
