How Vinay Sanghi took to Forbes' top 10 list

With over two decades of experience in the automobile industry, Vinay Sanghi figured out early that the growing Indian middle-class would not only buy cars from shops, but also online (at least 80% consumers check online before buying a car). Moreover, they would look for a platform to buy and sell used cars with the car-buying lifecycle shortening. Thus, when Sanghi left Mahindra First Choice Wheels in 2009, he was quite sure of what he was venturing into, and was born. 

Having sold more than 2.5 million used cars per year, which is expected to double in about five years from now, the start-up has made it to the Forbes' top 10 list of sharply focused e-commerce players in India. A complete family man, Sanghi spends his weekends with his two children. He also enjoys driving.
