I urge you to do more and more webinars, debates and discussions on the National Education Policy

I urge you to do more and more webinars, debates and discussions of the NEP and help implement the policy better and more effectively. The new NEP is not merely a circular. The education system cannot be upgraded by merely issuing a circular. It takes a lot of determination and resolve to make these efforts fruitful.

The more teachers update their skills, the more empowered they will be, says Modi

Therefore, the new policy also focuses on the dignity of teachers, under which we work on enhancing the skills of teachers, too. The more they update their skills, the more empowered they will be.

PM Modi quotes former President of India A P J Abdul Kalam

Former President of India A P J Abdul Kalam used to say that the purpose of education is to build good human beings. To this end, it is up to the institution and those who impart education to take the lead in this endeavour

Whenever we talk of empowerment of higher educational institutions, there is also the talk of autonomy: Narendra Modi

There are two schools of thought on autonomy of institutions. The first is that State should fully control these institutions. The second believes that institutions should be fully independent of State control. The more effective way would be a path in the middle of these two schools of thought.

You have seen that we have started work towards autonomy of institutions. These will be more pronounced in the times to come: Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Whatever has been recommended in the NEP will enable us to make the education more inclusive and futuristic, says Modi

Whatever has been recommended in the NEP will enable us to make the education more inclusive and futuristic, with an eye on technology-based systems.

Narendra Modi on New Education Policy: Concepts like virtual labs will take the idea of research to people who did not have access to facilities

The idea of innovation and adaption we wish to inculcate should emanate from 'empowered' institutions of higher education

The new education policy stresses on dignity of labour, says Narendra Modi

In a civislised society, there should be no room for discrimination on the basis of the profession and work of people. Where did this evil enter our psyche over generations? It was because of a flaw in our education system. In view of this, the new education policy stresses on dignity of labour.

We are proceeding towards an era where a person will not be tied to just one profession for a lifetime, says Modi on National Education policy

We are proceeding towards an era where a person will not be tied to just one profession for a lifetime. So that person will need to invariably keep upskilling and reskilling themselves. The new policy takes care of that aspect with the option of multiple entries and exits and a credit bank system, says PM

The new education policy will allow them to opt out of a course if they realise their training does not fulfil their professional requirements, says Modi

The new policy will allow them to opt out of a course if they realise their training does not fulfil their professional requirements. Now students will have the option of multiple entries and exits for better flexibility to decide what they want to leave, and how to learn more effectively: Modi

The new policy lays emphasis on igniting curiosity among students, says PM Modi on New Education Policy

In today's time, when there is a deluge of information available, we need to guide students on what to focus their minds on. A lot of syllabus does not help. The new policy lays emphasis on igniting curiosity among students and inspire them to pursue their passions

The earlier education system focused on 'What to Think'... now the new NEP focuses on 'How to Think': Modi on National Education Policy

The earlier education system focused on 'What to Think'... now the new NEP focuses on 'How to Think' — and i say this very responsibly: Modi on NEP

There is no disputing the fact that if the language spoken by children at home and the medium of education in schools is the same, their comprehension is stronger, says Modi

There is no disputing the fact that if the language spoken by children at home and the medium of education in schools is the same, their comprehension is stronger. A strong educational foundation is built this way

A new global standard is being set up. In sync with that it was imperative that India updated itself, says PM Modi

A new global standard is being set up. In sync with that it was imperative that India updated itself. The shift from 10+2 structure to 5+3+3+4 is a step in that direction

Some of the biggest challenges we faced earlier was the question whether our education motivated students with curiosity, creativity and passion?: Modi on New Education Policy

The second question before us was whether our education system empowered our students and helped build an empowered society. You all are well aware about the answer to this question. I am glad that these questions have been seriously considered while framing this new education policy.

The policy will take India to new heights and help make Indians more suitable and efficient for the global workforce: PM Narendra Modi on New Education Policy

For the past many years, there had been no significant change in our education policy. As a result, creativity and imagination were suppressed and herd mentality took root.

Every country keeps its goals in mind as it prepares its education policy to achieve its vision for the future. Our NEP has included that vision in mind: Modi in NEP

Every country keeps its goals in mind as it prepares its education policy to achieve its vision for the future. Our NEP has included that vision in mind. The kind of education and skills our youth will require in the times to come are all part of the new NEP

So far as political will is concerned, I am fully with you: Prime Minister Narendra Modi

It is for all of us to make sure it is implemented well. So far as political will is concerned, I am fully with you. I am fully committed to the cause of education reforms

For the past many years, there had been no significant change in our education policy: PM Modi on NEP 2020

For the past many years, there had been no significant change in our education policy. As a result, creativity and imagination were suppressed and herd mentality took root.

The reform was necessary to build innovative and critical thinking among our youth. For this, philosophy and purpose of education needed an update.

There's concern how such a grand reform will be implemented, says PM Modi on National Education policy

People are surprised that such a great education reform is planned, but there is also a concern how such a grand reform will be implemented.

It is a good thing that nobody across the country has claimed any bias in the NEP, says PM Modi

It is a good thing that nobody across the country has claimed any bias in the NEP. All the changes that people had yearned for in the education policy for several years have been rolled into the NEP

Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the conclave on higher education under NEP

The better we understand the National Education Policy (NEP) the better will be the implementation

It has taken four long years and hundreds of thousands of suggestions before developing the NEP
