After withdrawing the Summer Surprise offer, Reliance Jio
on Tuesday announced its Dhan Dhana Dhan offer starting at Rs 309. The new plan offers 1 GB data per day with a validity of 84 days.
According to the plan, Jio Prime subscribers will get a total of 84 GB of data for 84 days on a first recharge of Rs 309, while those recharging for Rs 509 will get 168 GB for 84 days.
This effectively means that you will get 1 GB and 2 GB daily quota of data under the Rs 309 and Rs 509 plans, respectively, along with unlimited SMSes, voice calls and Jio app subscription for three months.
For non-Prime subscribers and new customers, the same offer can be availed of by paying Rs 408 and Rs 608 for the 1 GB and 2GB daily benefit, respectively.
The plan will come into effect after April 15, while the recharge can be done immediately. The deadline for Jio Prime membership -- a one-time fee of Rs 99 -- comes to an end on April 15.
The new plan comes days after Reliance Jio
withdrew its Summer Surprise offer following last week's Trai order.
Trai had asked the company to withdraw its Summer Surprise offer, saying the offer did not fit into the "regulatory framework". The regulator had, therefore, asked the company to discontinue the plan.
The company, however, said all customers who had subscribed to the Jio Summer Surprise offer before it was discontinued would "remain eligible for its benefits".
The Summer Surprise offer gave three more months of complimentary benefits to all Jio Prime members who made their first recharge of Rs 303 (or more) by April 15. The complimentary services include three more months of unlimited voice and data services, besides access to other Jio apps.
