Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday condemned the shoe attack on Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, and also lashed out at Biju Janata Dal (BJD) for blaming the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for orchestrating the attack.
Expressing displeasure over the incident, Pradhan said, "Any kind of violence is condemnable, it is not good of someone to misbehave with the Chief Minister."
Pradhan dismissed the allegations leveled on the BJP as "baseless".
He noted that the person, who hurled shoes at Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, did not belong to any political party.
"Man who threw shoes at the Chief Minister does not belong to any political party and this has been pointed out in a local report," he said.
