Shoojit Sircar urges parents to #ReleaseThePressure

Before the exam season begins, filmmaker Shoojit Sircar has made a short film to talk about the pressure parents put on their kids.

The director has joined hands with soft drink brand Mirinda to direct a short film on exam pressure for the brand's #ReleaseThePressure campaign.

The film features real teenagers and focuses on what happens when parents constantly compare their kids to peers, neighbours and siblings.

This is the second time Sircar has come on board with the brand.

Known for his hard hitting, socially relevant movies, Shoojit's goal with #ReleaseThePressure is to help people understand and acknowledge that constant comparison is detrimental to students.

The 'PINK' filmmaker, who is currently shooting 'October' with Varun Dhawan, also went on to say that the next generation of leaders will emerge when we give them space to learn, grow and flourish.
