With the Indian economy proving to be a vulnerable spot for the Modi government and Rahul Gandhi trying to present the ruling BJP with a formidable challenge in Gujarat, the saffron party has fielded Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to consolidate the core vote bank in the state.

There are reports that he would be one of the BJP's key campaigners in the upcoming elections in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat to rev up the party's position.

Visibly, Yogi Adityanath's strong Hindutva core and oratory skills might help consolidate voters for the BJP.

For the past two days, Adityanath has not only mounted a scathing attack on Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi but his visit and jibes have also sent the 'gradually reviving Congress party in a tizzy.

Here's how Yogi Adityanath has used his oratory skills to attract voters in Gujarat

Yogi Adityanath on Rahul Gandhi

Yogi Adityanath accused Rahul Gandhi of ignoring his constituency and not building a Collectorate office in Amethi.

"The person could not build a Collectorate office in his constituency. How can you expect him to do development in Gujarat." he said. When a terrorist like Ishrat Jahan is killed by security forces in Gujarat, Rahul Gandhi comes to her support, he added.

He said that there is a pan-Indian perception that wherever Rahul Gandhi goes for campaigning, the Congress' defeat is guaranteed.

Yogi Adityanath on Manmohan Singh

Dr Manmohan Singh was the prime minister from year 2004-14 and always spoke on the directives of Nehru-Gandhi family, otherwise he didn't speak at all.

Yogi Adityanath on Congress mukt Gujarat

Congress is a not symbol of development, rather a symbol of destruction

"Today, there are only two Congress Lok Sabha Members from Uttar Pradesh, but in 2019 there won't be a single Congress MP in the Lok Sabha. Out of 403 Assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, there are only seven with the Congress. I want to assure you that in the next Assembly elections, these seven Members of Legislative Assembly won't be able to retain their seats."

Yogi Adityanath on Gujarat model

I have come here to apprise you about the reality of Gujarat's development as recently Congress' prince (Rahul Gandhi) had tried to confuse you. Today, those people are talking about development in Gujarat who never discussed about development in the country in last 70 years. They might have helped in development of themselves, their family and some of their middlemen, but they didn't help develop nation. Had they developed the nation, then why would Prime Minister Narendra Modi be required to launch Bullet Train between Ahmedabad and Mumbai?

"In the last 20 years, Gujarat has shown the nation and the world the extraordinary development saga. Twenty years back, when there wasn't the BJP government in the state then per capita income was Rs 14,000, and now it is more than Rs 1,41,000. Gujarat is not only the most developed state in India, but it's also the biggest employment provider state in the world," said Adityanath.

Yogi Adityanath on Ram Mandir row

Ram Temple is not an election issue for us, but a matter of belief. The matter is sub judice and we hope that the decision will be according to the public sentiments."

Yogi Adityanath on Rohingyas

UP chief minister has directed the state police to identify, verify and deport any 'foreign nationals' living in the state without a proper documentation.

The chief minister issued the directions at a meeting to review the law and order situation in the state on Thursday. The Chief Minister’s move is being considered in sync with the centre's tough stand of deporting the Rohingyas.

The chief minister also said that an intensive campaign should be conducted to check infiltration of suspicious elements from states sharing borders with Uttar Pradesh.
