BasicFirst to set up 600-seater BPO in Ranchi, to provide jobs to over 1,400 people

BasicFirst on Thursday said it has signed an agreement with Department of Information Technology (DoIT) of the Jharkhand government to set up a 600-seater BPO facility in Ranchi.

Once completed, the facility - which will be built in association with the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) - will provide direct and indirect employment to over 1,400 people.

BasicFirst already runs a BPO facility in Bengaluru, it added.

With the launch of the new facility, BasicFirst expects to handle, manage, and monitor doubts that students have, the statement said.

BasicFirst, which also offers an ed-tech platform, has around 700 employees. It also has offices in Singapore and Dubai.
