Parts of Bihar on Saturday received moderate rain while prominent cities like Patna, Gaya and Purnea did not receive rainfall in the past 24 hours.
Light rainfall occurred at few places in south and north Bihar whereas Patna, Gaya and Purnea didnot receive rainfall, the MeT department said.
Bhagalpur recorded a maximum temperature of 34.8 degrees Celsius, while Patna recorded 33.9 degrees Celsius. Gaya and Purnea recorded maximum temperatures of 32.8 degrees Celsius and 34.5 degrees Celsius respectively, it said.
The highest percentage of humidity level in the morning was recorded between 77 to 85, while in the evening it ranged between 65 to 91.
People may get respite from sultry weather as Met department on Saturday forecast light rainfall in parts of both south and north Bihar.
Patna, Gaya and Purnea are expected to witness a cloudy sky with light rain while Bhagalpur is expected to receive rains or thundershowers.
