Muzaffarnagar coldest place in Uttar Pradesh

Temperatures dropped across Uttar Pradesh overnight with Muzaffarnagar recording 5.1 degrees Celsius, the lowest in the state, today.

The weather was dry over the state and shallow fog occurred at isolated places, a Meteorological (MeT) department spokesman said.

Day temperatures was below normal in Gorakhpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Agra, Meerut and Lucknow divisions, while night temperatures fell in Gorakhpur and Jhansi divisions, he said here.

Night temperatures was below the normal in Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Lucknow and Bareilly divisions, the spokesman said.

The MeT office has forecast dry weather and shallow to moderate fog at isolated places over the state tomorrow.
