SSDM establishes career counselling, placement cells in J-K

Jammu and Kashmir State Skill Development Mission has established career counselling and placement cells in Jammu and Srinagar capital cities, an official spokesman said today.

The cells will help in providing a platform to the youth to discover their potential and explore avenues pertaining to studies and career within and outside India, the spokesman said.

Aspirants can apply online for registration at www.jkssdm.org, and based on the fulfilment of the fixed criteria, candidates will be invited for counselling sessions at the centres. The JKSSDM has appointed nodal officers who will be overseeing the activities of the centres.

For enquiry and scheduling an appointment with the counsellors, aspirants can contact 9018103786 and 7006321018, he said.

The counsellors will assist the candidates by providing them with various career options. This practice will ensure that applicants make informed decisions while they select a course or opt for job based on their interest and aptitude.

Peer G N Suhail, mission director of the JKSSDM, said that career counselling and placement cell will guide students who want to pursue higher education in local, national and international colleges and universities.

"We will also provide guidance about scholarships and the prescribed criteria such as TOEFL, IELTS, GRE etc. that is required for admission," he added.
