OnePlus on Tuesday launched four new devices including the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 9R, and OnePlus Watch, the company's first smartwatch. The highlight in OnePlus' latest series is the Hasselblad-branded camera system in OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. 

The OnePlus 9 series comes a new flagship camera system in partnership with legendary professional camera manufacturer Hasselblad.
It offers latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 mobile platform, the superior Fluid Display 2.0 with a DisplayMate A+ rating, and industry-challenging fast charging solutions, Warp Charge 65T and Warp Charge 50 Wireless.

The OnePlus 9 Pro's 48MP main camera features a custom-designed IMX789 sensor, co-engineered with Sony, with an impressively large 1/1.4-inch sensor. It offers faster focus speeds, four-times more color information for greater color accuracy, cleaner daytime and night shots, and reduced motion blur in videos.

The OnePlus 9 Pro's 50MP ultra-wide camera uses a 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX766 sensor, which ensures enhanced image quality and lower noise. The 8MP telephoto camera on the OnePlus 9 Pro offers 3.3 times zoom with OIS to reduce blur, maxing out at 30 times digital zoom.

The OnePlus 9 Pro's main camera features 16-times the pixel count of standard 1080p for high-quality videos, the company said.

It can shoot at 4K 120fps, giving you more creative possibilities in shooting video and editing, with DOL-HDR ensuring you always get the subject in clear view in backlit environments.

The OnePlus 9 Pro's ultra-wide camera can also create time-lapse video when walking.

OnePlus Watch has round design. The 46 mm case is crafted from quality stainless steel, with 2.5D curved glass on the face and a subtle yet radiant glossy CD pattern on the display bezel for an added touch of class.

The OnePlus 9 is priced at Rs 54,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant. The OnePlus 9 Pro is priced at Rs 64,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant and Rs 69,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant. The OnePlus Watch will cost Rs 16,999 in India, it is available at an introductory price of Rs 14,999. You could get an additional ₹2000 off with SBI Cards & EMI transactions.

The OnePlus 9R starts at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant and Rs 43,999 (12GB+256GB).

The OnePlus 9 Pro will go on sale from April 1 and OnePlus 9 will go on sale from April 15. The OnePlus Watch will be available at online and offline stores in April 2021. 

The Warp Charge 50 wireless charger is priced at Rs 5,990.  

The OnePlus 9 Series will be available on OnePlus.in, Amazon.in, all OnePlus exclusive offline stores and partner outlets.

OnePlus also announces OnePlus 9R with a 120 Hz display. It has 240 Hz touch sample rate. It comes with dual speakers with support for Dolby Atmos. The OnePlus 9R is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 and 5G. It comes with Warp Charge 65W. The OnePlus 9R is availble in Carbon Blacka dn Lake Blue colour. The phone starts at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB RAM option and Rs 43,999. Pre-orders open early April.

The OnePlus9 takes center stage with a flat 120 Hz LED Display, Snapdragon 888, Hasselblad Camera for Mobile. This one comes with a triple camera at the back. It doesn't have the 50MP camera; rest of camera specifications are the same as OnePlus 9 Pro. It has a fiber-glass polymer frame compared to the OnePlus 9 Pro.

Ahead of the OnePlus 9 launch, the OnePlus 8T's price has been slashed. The OnePlus 8T currently costs Rs 40,499, down from Rs 42,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. OnePlus is also giving up to 10 per cent (up to 5,000) cashback on select American Express cards. Amazon is also offering the OnePlus 8T at the same price if you apply the Rs 2,500 coupon.

OnePlus has already confirmed some of the specifications of the latest series. The OnePlus 9 Pro will offer a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate display and the screen will switch between 1 Hz and 120 Hz according to the task on the screen. It is expected to have 6.7-inch QHD+LTPO display. OnePlus 9 is expected to have some upgrades over the OnePlus 8T with 6.55-inch FHD+ 120Hz display, while the affordable OnePlus 9R is rumoured to have a 6.5-inch 90Hz FHD+ screen.
 
The OnePlus 9 Pro will have a quad camera setup on the back and will feature 48MP Sony IMX789 primary camera and a 50MP Sony IMX766 ultrawide sensor. The camera will also come with Hasselblad Pro Mode. OnePlus 9 is expected to have 3-camera setup, and OnePlus 9R is expected to have a primary 64-MP camera with an 8 MP ultra wide lens.
 
OnePlus 9 is expected to come in three colours: Stellar Black, Artic Sky, and Winter Mist. The Pro model will also come in 3 colours– Astral Black, Morning Mist, and Pine Green.
 
Coming to hardware specifications, 9 Pro and 9 will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. On the other hand, rumours suggest that 9R version will have Snapdragon 690 5G processor. OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are tipped to have 12 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage, while 9R is expected to have 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The 9 and 9 Pro model will be powered by a 4,500 mAh battery. The 9 Pro model will have a 50W wireless charging support and 65W wired charging support. The 9 model will come with 30W wireless charging and 65W fast charging. The 9R version is rumoured to have a 5,000 mAh battery with 30W or 50W fast charging support. OnePlus 9 series is expected to have the Android 11 OS.

OnePlus 9 Pro is expected to cost around Rs 50,000, while the standard 9 model is expected to be priced around Rs 42,000. The affordable 9R version’s price, based on rumours, is expected to be around Rs 35,000.

OnePlus partnership with Hasselblad

According to OnePlus, the partnership will develop over the next three years, starting with software improvements including colour tuning and sensor calibration, and extending to more dimensions in the future. The OnePlus 9 series will feature ‘Natural Color Calibration with Hasselblad’. Through the new colour solution, OnePlus aims to bring more perceptually accurate and natural-looking colours to photos taken with OnePlus flagship cameras. It will also serve as OnePlus’ new standard for colour calibration for its future smartphone cameras.
 
Besides, the upcoming OnePlus smartphone will boast the new Hasselblad Pro Mode, which would bring Hasselblad’s class-leading sensor calibration to a smartphone for the first time, resulting in accurate and natural colour for a solid foundation for post-editing.
 
OnePlus said it plans to invest over $150 million over the next three years in developing imaging capabilities of its phones.

OnePlus Watch to support more than 110 work-out modes

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has revealed that the watch has more than 110 work-out modes.
 
"One watch, more than 110 work-out modes. #OnePlusWatch," Lau said in a tweet.
 
The smartwatch is expected to feature a Snapdragon Wear system-on-chip, potentially the recently-launched Snapdragon Wear 4100. It will also be able to answer phone calls, display notifications, control media playback, and work as a remote for OnePlus TVs.
 
OnePlus Watch may also include an OLED display to save battery and a host of fitness and health features like a heart rate sensor, blood oxygen monitor and software-based features such as sleep pattern analysis, goals-oriented exercise tracking and more.
 
The OnePlus CEO said that the company's priority for devices is to offer "fashionable designs, provide seamless connectivity and deliver a best-in-class user experience."

OnePlus is all set to launch the new OnePlus 9 series in India today and the company has also confirmed it will launch OnePlus Watch today along with its latest smartphones. 
 
Even before the official launch, the series has already seen over two million reservations across all the retail channels in China.
 
According to several reports, OnePlus 9R will be an affordable phone to be launched only for India.
