Yumchek: Don't leave those bills behind

I have a friend who never leaves a restaurant without collecting the bill. "That's for my records, for who knows what can cause food poisoning," he says in his defence. The Yumchek application, I thought, would give him another reason to collect those bills.

The app tracks your location to point to restaurants nearby, helpfully archiving them by cuisine. One can also book a table at some of these establishments. The fun part, however, is Yotto - where one can bid for items on offer (mostly related to cooking/serving). Several raffles are on simultaneously - and each can be bid for certain points.

So how does one get those points? Obviously by referring people; and uploading restaurant bills. Also, for every receipt uploaded, Rs 5 is contributed to an NGO. What more? One can earn extra points for booking a table on the app and then presenting its bill. A caveat: Bills can be uploaded up to 48 hours later.

It would be nice if it allowed one to order food as well. But till then, get those bills and start uploading!
