Portugal are crowned as the UEFA Nations League champions as they beat Spain 5-3 on penalties in the final at the Allianz Arena in Munich, germany on Monday. Alvaro Morata missed his penalty for Spain which handed Portugal their 2nd Nations League triumph on the night, Cristiano wins his 3rd international trophy with Portugal as he looked on from the sidelines for extra time and penalties as his teammates won the tie for him.
Spain struck first through Zubimendi in the 21st minute, but Portugal responded with a brilliant goal from Nuno Mendes in the 26th minute. Spain regained the lead just before halftime with Oyarzabal's finish in the 45th minute. However, it was Portugal who equalized again in the 69th minute, courtesy of their skipper Cristiano Ronaldo whoscored his 138th international goal to level things in the tie. Both teams battled hard in a thrilling encounter, showcasing end-to-end action and high-quality football
