Business conglomerate Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported an 81 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 322.49 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024, on higher income.
Its net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25 fiscal, from Rs 4,893.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.
Godrej Industries has presence in chemicals, estate management (real estate), finance & investments.
On business performance of its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associate companies, Godrej Industries said the consolidated sales of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) stood at Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.
Godrej Properties' total Income grew to Rs 1,638 crore in April-June period of this fiscal, from Rs 1,315 crore in the year-ago period.

Patel Engineering Ltd on Tuesday reported a 25.81 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 48.17 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024.
It had posted a Rs 38.29 crore net profit from operations during the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company's revenue from operations declined by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,101.66 crore in the June quarter.
It was at Rs 1,118.61 crore in the year-ago period.
Patel Engineering's Managing Director Kavita Shirvaikar said, "Our focus remains on delivering long-term value for our stakeholders while continuously enhancing operational efficiency and output."

Aditya Infotech, which offers video security and surveillance products under 'CP Plus' brand, on Monday raised over Rs 582 crore from anchor investors a day before its initial share-sale opening for public subscription.
This anchor portion witnessed participation from domestic and foreign institutional investors, including Government of Singapore, Monetary Authority of Singapore, HDFC Mutual Fund, SBI Mutual Fund, Goldman Sachs, Nomura, Ashoka Whiteoak India Opportunities Fund, and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, according to a circular uploaded on the BSE website.
As per the circular, Aditya Infotech has allotted 86.26 lakh equity shares to 54 funds at Rs 675 apiece. This aggregates the transaction size to Rs 582.3 crore.
The Rs 1,300-crore initial public offering (IPO) will open for subscription on July 29 and conclude on July 31. The price band has been set at Rs 640-675 per share.

The IT Ministry is keeping a close watch on situation arising out of Tata Consultancy Services' (TCS) decision to lay off over 12,000 employees, and is in touch with the Tata Group company, sources said on Monday.
The move comes as India's largest IT services company is preparing to lay off two per cent of its global workforce this year, in what it describes as a broader strategy to become a "future-ready organisation", with focus on investments in technology, AI deployment, market expansion, and workforce realignment.
The bulk of the impact will be felt on middle and senior grades at TCS.
The IT Ministry is keeping a close watch on the entire situation, and is in touch with the tech company, sources said.
The ministry is concerned and will go into the underlying causes that has prompted the move.
The blue-chip stock dipped 1.76 per cent closing at Rs 3,079.05 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday, as news of layoffs sent fresh tremors in the tech circles.

Cement maker UltraTech, which expects around 7 per cent growth in FY26, has allocated up to Rs 10,000 crore as capex to bolster its capacity as well as energy and efficiency initiatives, according to the company's latest annual report.
The Aditya Birla group firm recently acquired South-based India Cements and the cement business of Kesoram Industries, and added 26.3 MTPA of grey cement capacity to its portfolio. It has planned an organic capacity addition of 28.8 MTPA by FY27.
UltraTech, which crossed the Rs 75,000 crore revenue mark in FY25 and is now very close to 200 MTPA (million tonnes per annum) capacity, anticipate a reduction in "net debt to EBITDA ratio", helped by a higher volume growth and improving margins.
"Although our net debt to EBITDA (pre-tax profit) ratio rose to 1.33x in March 2025, we anticipate higher volume growth and an improving EBITDA profile to reduce this rapidly," its Managing Director K C Jhanwar said while addressing the shareholders.

Torrent Pharmaceuticals on Monday said its consolidated net profit increased 20 per cent year-on-year to Rs 548 crore in the June quarter, driven by strong sales across markets, including India and the US.
The drug firm reported a net profit of Rs 457 crore in the April-June quarter of the last fiscal.
Revenue from operations rose to Rs 3,178 crore in the June quarter compared with Rs 2,859 crore in the year-ago period, Torrent Pharmaceuticals said in a statement.
The drug maker said its India revenues rose by 11 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,811 crore in the April-June period, led by outperformance in focus therapies.
The US business revenues stood at Rs 308 crore in the June quarter, by 19 per cent year-on-year, it added.
Similarly, revenue in Brazil rose by 11 per cent to Rs 218 crore, the company stated.
Its sales in Germany were up 9 per cent year-on-year to Rs 308 crore in the June quarter against the same period last year.

Waaree Energies on Monday posted nearly 93 per cent rise in its net profit to Rs 773 crore in the June quarter compared to the year-ago period, mainly on the back of higher revenues.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 401.13 crore in the same quarter a year ago, a statement said.
Total revenues rose to Rs 4,597.18 crore in the quarter from Rs 3,496.41 crore in the same period a year ago.
The company said it achieved the highest quarterly module production of 2.3 GW in the first quarter of FY26, driven by strong operational focus, and cell production continues to ramp up.
The Board of Directors also approved an additional capital expenditure (capex) of Rs 2,754 crore for the expansion of cell capacity by 4 GW in Gujarat and Ingot-wafer by 4 GW in Maharashtra.
The capex will be spread over FY 2026-27 and will be financed through a combination of internal accruals and borrowed capital.
The board has also approved the proposal for the acquisition of 100 per cent shareholding
